Global Jewish Connections – Kesher Yarok
Kesher Yarok, a partnership program between the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) and Teva was started in the summer of 2009.  The program seeks to enable participants in the Global Jewish Connections Initiative of UJA-Federation of New York to address two issues:  1) Building personal connections and relationships between students, teachers, and communities from the United States and Israel.  2) Understanding the global environmental crisis facing Jewish people and all of humanity.  This project provides curriculum, an action project, an interactive web-based forum, and training.  Currently 8 schools (3 in Israel, 4 in Long Island, and 1 in Florida) are piloting the partnership curriculum.
