This track is designed to give people who work in congregational education, at Jewish community centers, on campuses, and in schools, the tools to integrate powerful, hands-on Jewish environmental learning into your curriculum year-round. Use experiential education to spark creativity, spiritual connection, awareness and responsible action in your community. Course content focuses on Jewish cycles – holidays, agriculture and life cycles - as well as how to adapt and enliven curriculum and content for work with many ages and settings. We will use drama, music, visual art, improvisation, storytelling, do-it-yourself ritual art, and outdoor exploration to provide a strong framework for teaching about inspirational Jewish environmental cycles.

Eco-Arts & Community Education Track Intensive
Bringing It Back To Your Community Workshop – Spend your day learning through small group discussion and large group activities how to specifically adapt the curriculum and content you’ve been learning to the groups you work with. You will have the opportunity to brainstorm and network with other early childhood educators, campus activists, etc. to hone in on effective and creative ways of bringing this content alive in your community.
Note on Track Intensives:
Most of the Seminar offers a program format in which participants choose several classes per day to attend based on a schedule of classes running concurrently across the four tracks. On the third day of the Seminar, each track will spend a full day together in order to explore their focus area in more depth. Visit each track to learn about the intensive offered in that track.
Note: You do not have to attend the Track Intensive for the track you register for. If you would like to use this Track Intensive day as a way to explore multiple areas of interest or feel that one of the Track Intensives in another track will better suit your learning needs and goals, you are free to attend whichever one suits you best.
