Join Teva & the Schechter School of Long Island for Community Gardening Day!
Celebrate Mother’s Day by playing in the garden,sampling delicious food, and making gifts for Mom.
Date: this Sunday, May 12
Time: 10 am to noon (Mother’s Day)
Location: School garden at
Schechter School of Long Island, Barbara Lane, Jericho, NY
Plus: A special singing performance by the
AriNotes accompanied by the Mid Island Y's K.I.S.S. (Kids in Special Services) Center Musical Group.
Activity Stations Include:
Plant sunflowers * Paint a new sign for the garden * Learn about compost and worms
Build new garden beds * Eco-spa - make your own products!
Sample pickle, jam and cheese products from Adamah Farm (also available for purchase)
Learn about: Tzedakah, Mother’s Day, and Pe’ah: Planting for Those in Need
This event is FREE and open to EVERYONE!
